BayGanda
Mission:
We are dedicated to providing holistic educational opportunities that encourage personal growth and ignite the creative spirit in every GIRL child. Bayganda Foundation is focused on the safety, education, social equity and joy of girls of color and gender expansive youth.
Through creative arts and education we empower girls of color to confidently embrace who they are, while equipping them with practical skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
How to help
Sew What™With EVarize
Sew What was born from a community need—to give girls of color a safe space to create, learn, and build lasting friendships. They return as students, and many grow into mentors, carrying the legacy forward.”
Education Initiative
You have the power to impact the lives of girls in Uganda through your giving. We foster holistic education by encouraging a play-based learning approach that honors culture, community, and curiosity.

BayGanda Education Initiative
Nearly half of young women in Uganda (ages 15-24) face barriers to literacy, and four out of five girls do not have the opportunity to attend high school. We are empowering a new generation of leaders who are breaking barriers as the first in their families to not only complete their education but to pursue their dreams at the university level.
What We do
Educate Develop Empower
Since 2005, BayGanda has been a leader in Bay Area sewing camps, providing accessible summer programs and teaching the art of sewing. Starting in 2007, we expanded our mission to Bugolobi, Uganda, to empower young girls through creative and practical skills.
Today, after 20 years BayGanda continues to support girls in both the U.S. and Uganda, helping build a generation of empowered, enriched, and economically secure young women.
